Tubex Easywrap Wrap Range
Our recyclable wraps that expand as the tree grows, for easy installation and removal.
Overview
Easywrap is our range of recycled & recyclable twin-walled wraps that expand as the plant grows. Made with up to 50% recycled content and fully recyclable through our Tubex Tree Shelter Collection & Recycling Programme at their end-of-life.
Easywraps are a low-cost alternative to spirals. The vertical slit of our wraps creates a natural overlap that allows the wrap to grow with the tree and is easier to install and remove than spirals, while the twin-wall construction offers improved growing conditions. Ideal for helping establish vines, trees and hedges where the lateral growth of branches is important.
Our wraps range is now “Easywrap”. We have consolidated our existing Ecowrap, Fruitwrap and Vinewrap tree shelters into one wrap shelter range: Easywrap. The new naming structure hopes to simplify the naming of wraps, provide a functional name and clarity on the sizing. Each individual product is now identified by the largest diameter size of the nest: “Easywrap 50” would equate to the formerly Ecowrap, with diameters ranging from 35-50cm. Check the specifications table below for a full breakdown.
Product Benefits
Produced with recycled content, and 100% recyclable at its end of life
The vertical slit of wraps creates a natural overlap that allows for wraps to grow with the tree, ideal for plants where lateral growth of branches is important.
The vertical slit of wraps makes both installation and removal for maintenance and recycling much easier than spirals made of PVC – which is more brittle than PP. Wraps come nested for efficient transportation, storage and management on site, whilst maintaining original shape.
Our twin-walled wraps provide an enhanced microclimate compared to single-wall spirals, leading to improved growth and survival rates. The durable twin-wall construction offers the best possible strength-to-weight ratio, offering more rigidity and stability than spirals, while at a lower price point.
Robust twin-walled construction provides a minimum of 5 years service life, offering protection against small animals (such as voles, hares and rabbits), herbicides and mechanical operations.
All Tubex recyclable shelters are produced with up to 50% recycled content to reduce the use of virgin resources, and are fully recyclable via our Tubex Tree Shelter Collection & Recycling Programme for circularity. The most sustainable tree shelter choice proven by a recent Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) study.
