Tubex helps tree planting charities to Grow Together
UK Tree Planting Targets
Government commitment of hectares to plant per year by 2024.
Government commitment to hit net zero carbon emissions by 2050 will require fifty million new trees to be planted.
Government commitment for woodland coverage in the UK by 2050, up from 13% current coverage.
What is Grow Together?
The UK Government’s tree planting targets are growing, which has highlighted the need for tree protection more than ever. We welcome the huge rise in tree planting projects across the UK –with over half a million trees set to be planted this year–but we're also aware that not every initiative can afford to invest in tree protection.
The threat from wildlife or extremes in environmental conditions, means tree shelters play an invaluable role in boosting sapling survival rates. Ensuring that saplings are properly protected will make all the difference to the success of these projects.
That’s why Tubex is launching ‘Grow Together’, our charitable initiative designed to support tree planting projects across the UK through the donation of tree shelters. We look forward to partnering with tree planting charities and community projects that need support, in order to help everybody Grow Together!
The Grow Together scheme will enable individuals and organisations to nominate tree planting projects across the UK. Every quarter Tubex will select a project to receive appropriate tree shelters for the environment and type of tree’s being planted.
How to nominate a project
The process is easy, simply fill the form below to nominate a tree planting project. We will require some details of the project’s location, size, tree types, and tree protection needed to help recommend the most suitable shelters.
Based on the project location and access, we will either provide our recyclable shelters with up to 30% recycled content, which can then be collected and recycled at the end of the growing cycle, or biodegradable Tubex Nature shelters that can be left to biodegrade in situ for areas with dense woodland or difficult access where collection and recycling is not practical.
We will review the nominations quarterly and contact you if your project is selected. If your project hasn’t been selected, we will still consider you for future donations.
